Game 15 (CHAMPIONSHIP): Placenta, California vs. Tijuana, Mexico

Finn K collected four hits in five at bats, as Placentia, CA 11U defeated Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U 9-2 on Monday. Finn doubled in the second inning, doubled in the seventh inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the first inning. Placentia, CA 11U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jeremiah P grounded out, and Adrian R walked, each scoring one run. Placentia, CA 11U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Finn doubled, and Oliver R singled, each scoring one run. A single by Caden P extended the Placentia, CA 11U lead to 6-0 in the top of the third inning.


Tyler D stepped on the mound first for Placentia, CA 11U. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and two runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Santiago N led things off on the bump for Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U. They gave up three hits and five runs (two earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out two and walking four. Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U defeated Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U 13-3 on Sunday thanks in part to seven runs in the fourth inning.  Mario R homered to left field, scoring two runs, a passed ball scored one run, Martin G singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Cesar V singled, scoring one run, and Julian L singled, scoring one run. Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U opened the scoring in the first after Mario singled, scoring two runs. Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U took the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Hanley F grounded out, and Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U committed an error, each scoring one run.


Mario opened the game for Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U. They surrendered three hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking three. Matthew G opened the game for Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U. They allowed nine hits and seven runs (six earned) over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.

West Raleigh, NC 11U couldn't keep up with Placentia, CA 11U and fell 10-3 on Sunday.


Placentia, CA 11U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jeremiah P drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Placentia, CA 11U added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Oliver R doubled, scoring two runs, and Tyler E singled, scoring one run.


Marcus E pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for West Raleigh, NC 11U. The reliever allowed seven hits and four runs while striking out three and walking three. Weston P started on the hill for West Raleigh, NC 11U. They gave up two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking three. Jeremiah started the game for Placentia, CA 11U. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking none. Jonathan M led West Raleigh, NC 11U with one run batted in. Carter H led West Raleigh, NC 11U with three hits in three at bats. Weston P collected two hits for West Raleigh, NC 11U in four at bats.

Michael C collected three hits in five at bats, as Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U defeated Corpus Cristi 11U 9-0 on Sunday. Michael doubled in the seventh inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.


Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U got on the board in the top of the third inning after Andryull F doubled, and Johnny B singled, each scoring one run. Andryull stepped on the bump first for Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Ian H began the game for Corpus Cristi 11U. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Erick B pitched one and one-third innings of no-run ball for Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U in relief. They gave up zero hits, striking out three and walking none.

Game 9: West Raleigh, North Carolina vs. Beijing, China

West Raleigh, NC 11U rallied to best Beijing, China 11U 9-5 on Sunday. West Raleigh, NC 11U trailed by as many as four runs during the game.


Beijing, China 11U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Wincent S singled, Brady C singled, Liu J hit into a fielder's choice, and West Raleigh, NC 11U committed an error, each scoring one run.West Raleigh, NC 11U flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 5-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Marcus E that drove in two. A single by Miles S extended the West Raleigh, NC 11U lead to 6-4 in the top of the third inning.


Tyler N opened the game for West Raleigh, NC 11U. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and five runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking two. Zijia H stepped on the hill first for Beijing, China 11U. They gave up four hits and five runs (four earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two. Weston P appeared in relief for West Raleigh, NC 11U. Marcus, Carter H, and Weston P each drove in two runs for West Raleigh, NC 11U. Weston went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead West Raleigh, NC 11U in hits. Carter stole two bases. Brady, Liu, Wincent, and Zijia each drove in one run for Beijing, China 11U. (Consolation Game) Great Neck, Virginia vs. Chesterfield, Virginia


Great Neck, VA 11U scored nine runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Chesterfield, VA 11U 16-0 on Sunday.  Jeremiah D drew a walk, scoring one run, Camden K drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Evan P grounded out, scoring one run, Jack G drew a walk, scoring one run, Winston H doubled, scoring two runs, and Jeremiah doubled, scoring two runs. Great Neck, VA 11U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kaleb L drew a walk, scoring one run, Evan drew a walk, scoring one run, and Owen D singled, scoring one run. Great Neck, VA 11U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Jack was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and two runs scored on another play.


Fletcher W led things off on the hill for Great Neck, VA 11U. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking none. Mathew F stepped on the hill first for Chesterfield, VA 11U. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and five runs over one inning, striking out one and walking five. Zachary J tossed one inning of shutout ball for Great Neck, VA 11U in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out one and walking none.


Eli D, Owen, Evan, Jeremiah, and Winston each collected one hit for Great Neck, VA 11U. Jack, Jeremiah, and Winston each drove in two runs for Great Neck, VA 11U. Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U snatched the lead late in their 4-3 victory over West Raleigh, NC 11U on Saturday. The game was tied at three in the top of the seventh when Sebastian S singled, scoring one run. West Raleigh, NC 11U got on the board in the second inning after John B doubled, scoring two runs. A single by Brady C extended the West Raleigh, NC 11U lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the third inning.


J.J. L homered to right field on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, which helped Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U tie the game at three in the top of the sixth. Adan J started the game for Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U. They allowed five hits and three runs (one earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking none. Weston P led things off on the bump for West Raleigh, NC 11U. The starting pitcher surrendered five hits and three runs over five and one-third innings, striking out five and walking one. Mario R appeared in relief for Liga Municipal de Tijuana 11U.

Game 7: Placentia, California vs. Santiago, Dominican Republic

Jeremiah P collected three hits in four at bats, as Placentia, CA 11U defeated Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U 14-0 on Saturday. Jeremiah singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the second inning. Placentia, CA 11U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jeremiah singled, Tyler E grounded out, and Jack N singled, each scoring one run. Placentia, CA 11U extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Finn K, Tyler, and Cole P.


Placentia, CA 11U scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Oliver R singled, scoring one run, Jeremiah singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, an error scored one run, one run scored on a balk, and an error scored one run.


Beckham M stepped on the bump first for Placentia, CA 11U. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out none and walking one. Hanley F started on the mound for Santiago, Dominican Republic 11U. They gave up eight hits and seven runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking none. Game 6: Corpus Christi, Texas vs. Chesterfield, Virginia

Corpus Christi 11U beat Chesterfield, VA 11U 7-2 on Saturday.


Corpus Christi 11U got on the board in the first inning after Adriel P drew a walk, scoring one run. Jayden A singled, which helped Chesterfield, VA 11U tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. Corpus Christi 11U took the lead in the top of the third. An error scored one run, to give Corpus Christi 11U the leg up, 2-1.


Ian H started the game for Corpus Christi 11U. They gave up two hits and one run over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one. Colin W stepped on the mound first for Chesterfield, VA 11U. They gave up two hits and four runs (one earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking six. Julius D, Brandon G, Isaac C, Adriel, and Robert G each came on in relief for Corpus Christi 11U and shutdown Chesterfield, VA 11U.


Ian, Adriel, and Justin S each collected one hit for Corpus Christi 11U. Rodolfo E and Isaac each drove in one run for Corpus Christi 11U. Jayden B paced Corpus Christi 11U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Preston R, Ian, and Mattox E each stole multiple bases for Corpus Christi 11U. Corpus Christi 11U stole 12 bases in the game. Corpus Christi 11U were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Preston made the most plays with 12. Game 5: Beijing, China vs. Great Neck, Virginia

Beijing, China 11U opened the scoring in the first after one run scored on a balk. An error extended the Beijing, China 11U lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning. Brandon C collected three hits in four at bats, as Beijing, China 11U defeated Great Neck, VA 11U 7-1 on Saturday. Brandon singled in the seventh inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.


Jack W led things off on the mound for Beijing, China 11U. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking none. Camden K started the game for Great Neck, VA 11U. They surrendered five hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Zijia H, Liu J, Wincent S, and Brandon each threw shutout innings for Beijing, China 11U in relief.


Jack, Liu, Kaleb B, Wincent, and Brandon each drove in one run for Beijing, China 11U. Liu stole two bases. Beijing, China 11U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Liu had the most chances in the field with eight. Winston H led Great Neck, VA 11U with one run batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Winston and Ryder M each collected one hit for Great Neck, VA 11U. Great Neck, VA 11U turned one double play in the game.



Beijing, China will play West Raleigh, North Carolina on Sunday July 21 in Game 9 at 5:30pm.
Great Neck, Virginia will play Chesterfield, Virginia on Sunday July 21 at Field 12.


Game 4: Tijuana, Mexico vs. Chesterfield, VA

Tijuana, Mexico easily dispatched Chesterfield, VA on Friday, 19-9.  Tijuana, Mexico jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Cesar V singled, scoring two runs, one run scored on a balk, James J drew a walk, scoring one run, two errors scored three runs.  Tijuana, Mexico added one run in the second. Gabriel A singled, making the score 8-2. 


Tijuana, Mexico added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Chesterfield, VA committed an error and Mario R singled, each scoring one run. Tijuana, Mexico scored five runs on one hit in the sixth inning. Sebastian S. grounded out, scoring one run, Cesar singled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored three runs. 


Sebastian went 1 for 4 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in. Cesar went 2 for 4 at the plate to lead Tijuana, Mexico in hits. J.J. led Tijuana, Mexico with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 13 walks for the game. J.J., Esteban D, and Dylan V each stole multiple bases for Tijuana, Mexico. The team piled up 10 stolen bases for the game.  Johansen went 3 fo 3 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in. Chesterfield, VA turned one double play in the game. 


Tijuana, Mexico moves to 1-0 and will play today, Saturday July 20, in Game Eight at 8:00 pm against vs. West Raleigh, NC.
Chesterfield, VA will play today, Saturday July 20, in Game Six at 5:30 pm against Corpus Christi, TX.


Game 2: Corpus Christi, TX vs. West Raleigh, NC

West Raleigh, NC defeated Corpus Cristi 14-7 on Friday at Field 13 thanks in part to 10 runs in the fourth inning.  Weston P singled, scoring one run, Matthew R drew a walk, scoring one run, Braden C singled, scoring one run, Weston P doubled, scoring two runs, Dylan G singled, scoring one run, Tyler N doubled, scoring two runs, Carter H doubled, scoring one run, and Weston hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. West Raleigh, NC got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Dylan singled, and Tyler grounded out, each scoring one run. Corpus Cristi 11U made the score 3-2 in the top of the third after a wild pitch scored one run, and Brandon G singled, scoring two runs.


Jonathan M started the game for West Raleigh, NC . They gave up zero hits and three runs (one earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking two. Cristiano H started on the mound for Corpus Cristi. They allowed seven hits and six runs over three and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two. Marcus E tossed one inning of scoreless ball for West Raleigh, NC in relief. The reliever allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none.


West Raleigh, NC  collected 16 hits in the game. Weston led West Raleigh, NC with four runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Braden and Dylan each collected three hits for West Raleigh, NC. Tyler, Weston, and Carter each collected multiple hits for West Raleigh, NC. Carter stole two bases. Issac C led Corpus Cristi 11U with two runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Brandon went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Corpus Cristi 11U in hits. Julius D stole two bases. Corpus Cristi  turned one double play in the game.


West Raleigh, NC moves to 1-0 and will play today, Saturday July 20, in Game Eight at 8:00 pm against Tijuana, Mexico. Corpus Cristi, TX will play today, Saturday July 20, in Game Six at 5:30 pm against Chesterfield, VA. 


Game 1: Great Neck, VA vs. Santiago, Dominican Republic

Santiago, Dominican Republic  beat Great Neck, VA  6-2 on Friday at Field 12.


An error put Great Neck, VA  on the board in the top of the first. Santiago, Dominican Republic flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 5-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Hanley F that drove in two.


Michael C stepped on the hill first for Santiago, Dominican Republic . The starting pitcher gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two. Winston H started on the mound for Great Neck, VA . The starting pitcher gave up three hits and five runs (one earned) over two-thirds of an inning, striking out none and walking one. Hanley, Justin R, and Jhustin M each threw shutout innings for Santiago, Dominican Republic in relief.


Hanley led Santiago, Dominican Republic with two runs batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day. Santiago, Dominican Republic’'s Amin C made the most of their chances at the plate. The number eight hitter led the team with two hits in three at bats. Eli D, Winston, Fletcher W, and Camden K each collected one hit for Great Neck, VA. Eli led Great Neck, VA  with one run batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day.
